This week’s NNI devotes its entire program to examining what many
consider the most sacred of days, Christmas. Did you know that this holiday
is deeply rooted in paganism and the worship of false gods? In ancient Rome,
this day was centered around the worship of the pagan god, Saturn, complete
with debauchery and lasciviousness.
Today, Christmas is presented with beautiful lights, decorated trees,
lovely music, and warm inviting traditions to be spent with family and
friends. But what does this have to do with the birth of Jesus Christ? Was
Christ even born during this time of year? How did Christianity adopt this
day, to honor the true God?
