This week’s “News, Nuggets, and Insights” pays a special tribute to the “Greatest Generation” with the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We are proud to share some very informative and heartwarming videos that highlight stories and tributes to the veterans of WWII.

In our ‘world watch’ segment of the program, we turn our focus to China and Russia. These two countries have been partnering for years in an effort to combine military might for world dominance. On November 23rd, Russia’s defense chief signed a roadmap for closer military ties with China, pointing to increasingly frequent U.S. strategic bomber flights near both countries’ borders. His Chinese counterpart expressed a shared interest in stepping up strategic military exercises and joint patrols by Russia and China, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. With the weak foreign policies of the Biden Administration, Russia and China are taking advantage to see just how far they can go with their ‘sabre rattling’ by ordering maneuvers such as flying planes into the defense zone of Taiwan. Other countries are taking serious notice of what is happening while US leaders seem more concerned about climate change.

While America’s enemies make strategic moves to gain world dominance, America is crumbling from within. This week’s program highlights the surge in crime across America. Because laws are lenient and the enforcement of them even more lax, people have pushed crime and violence into statistics we haven’t witnessed since the 1960s. God warns in His word that this would be the conditions as we near the end time. Matt. 24:12 says, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”

On Friday, the stock market reacted to news of a new COVID-19 variant, Omicron. Will we face more lockdowns? Has God taken away the hedge of His protection from the United States? Join us this week as Tom Kerry uses a timeline to illustrate just what has been happening in the past few years and the relation between important events and the warnings that God lays out in scripture. What can we expect for the near future?

Jesus made a statement recorded in Matt. 24:34 that says, “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” In our ‘nuggets’ portion of the program, we find it fitting to take a hard look at just what Christ meant for us today. In light of the 80th anniversary of the WWII generation, we must consider how far we have progressed since the invention of the atomic bomb. Is this nuclear age soon to usher in the return of Jesus Christ before we destroy mankind from the planet?
