Special Day of Atonement
God has Spared the Myrtle Beach Feast Site for the Churches
There are a number of the
Churches of God that have feast sites in this popular location. It
appears that all have been able to continue to keep the Feast in Myrtle
Beach. The only problems you may encounter is the travel due to the
widespread flooding throughout N. C.
While we have been spared for the
Feast, we need to continue to pray for those in the flooded areas. It
will be many months and even years for the recovery. Many have lost all they
own. Please remember to keep them in your prayers.
At this time, I don’t have any reports as yet as to any of God’s people
being flooded. I pray it stays that way.
I look forward to seeing all of you
this year again at the Feast. My plans are to start in Daytona and will be
in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday. God willing that will work out.

Traveling to Myrtle Beach, SC:
Please note that the roads and
travel information is changing by the hour. If you are traveling through N.
Carolina, you should stay on top of the information on your apps or call
ins.
At Present: If you are traveling
from the north, you want to avoid Eastern North Carolina. (Link to NC road
closures:
https://tims.ncdot.gov/tims/) Google or Microsoft maps are updating
on road closures and openings. Many of the back roads/shortcuts into Myrtle
and surrounding counties will have detours which will ultimately get you to
Myrtle but with delays. Rivers in some areas near Myrtle Beach are cresting
and efforts are being made by the SC Department of Transportation to divert
water away from HWY 501 near Conway. The drive time for some may be a little
longer however, we want you to arrive safely with minimal delays and
frustration.
Best route to the Resort if
traveling from the north or the west is I-77 to I-20 through Florence SC and
get on 76/301 to Hwy 38E to 501 to bypass 22 to hwy. 17S. This route is
designed to avoid Marion SC. If you continue onto 501 below without taking
hwy. 22 there will be detours. If you are traveling from the south, hwy. 17
is clear all the way.
(As of this email: Tuesday,
September 18, 2018 several spots along I-95 and I-40 are closed due to
water. This may change as of this week end as we get closer to the Feast)
