PREPARING FOR THE YEARS OF LEAN This has been
a momentous week with the breaking news of the fall of Afghanistan and
“News, Nuggets, and Insights” shares this heartbreaking disaster with a
deep look into the powerful Word of God. What will go down as one of the
biggest debacles in U.S. History, may very well be a reflection of God
breaking the pride of the power of a nation that has turned its back on Him.
On the U.S. Home Front we are in the midst of the rise of
COVID-19, continued droughts in the west, and record breaking fires and
weather conditions. Globally, earthquakes are expanding and volcanic
eruptions could trigger tsunamis that would wreak havoc in the world. While
more and more people point to Global Warming as the root of these problems,
God’s people are aware that God has warned the nations of the vexation that
would befall a wicked end-time generation. Are we at that point of time? Are
we entering the years of lean that will usher in the great tribulation?
The Nuggets portion of our program focuses on
preparing for the years of lean that seem to be drawing nearer. Many see the
clouds and know that serious troubles lie ahead, even in the “land of
plenty.” This week’s program looks to God’s Holy Word for direction of what
to do in such uncertain times. Surely God will provide for His people, but
we also need to be preparing as much as we can, following the examples set
for us in the Bible. Join us as we search the scriptures and pray for God to
