Are we in the time of Chicken Little? There is no doubt devastation from
war and from extreme weather is getting worse. But haven’t we always had
war, devastating weather, and bleak times in the world? For years now NNI
has been crying aloud that events are leading to an end-time scenario; but
is the sky really about to fall? Or are we witnessing the events that point
to God’s appointed time?
The Ukraine war and the conflict in Iran are escalating. It seems the
only way to win either of these wars is more war. Effects from these
battles, along with devastating weather, have economists warning about a
famine never seen in modern times. Are they Chicken Little also?
There is a new word circulating among the experts called “Climateflation.”
Predictions of global food prices soaring because of disastrous events is a
major concern. Extreme summer heatwaves and droughts alone are predicted to
be a larger driver of 2027 food inflation than war-related commodity shocks.
Believe it or not, God has given us information that helps us to know
where we are in history. But we need to watch global events as they unfold.
And remember, Chicken Little thought the sky was falling, but it was really
just an acorn that fell on his head.
Today’s world really is on the brink of events that the Bible describes
as a time that “never was, nor ever shall be.” It is a time that if Jesus
Christ does not intervene “no flesh will be saved alive.”
