This week’s “News, Nuggets, and Insights” pays tribute to mothers everywhere! Through all the negative and disheartening issues we face in these modern times, we have many blessings; and one of the greatest blessings bestowed upon mankind is the deep and unselfish love of a good mother. So, to those irreplaceable women, we thank you for all you do and for your many examples of generous and unfailing love.

Our program begins with the good news of a law passed that forbids any other gender, other than male or female, to be written on a birth certificate. Although it is shameful that such a law had to be passed, we acknowledge a positive accomplishment by those who are working hard and standing in the gap.

The challenges America now faces are becoming insurmountable as the year moves on. We take a look at the hot topic of student debt. There are many opinions as to whether or not to wipe away the debt, but not many have looked into what caused this astronomical fiasco; and what affect is has on the United States.

This week’s program takes a look at another monumental issue facing America. A recent motion for the government to silence free speech! But doesn’t the Constitution ensure Americans to maintain this precious freedom? You’ll be surprised as we search through the pages of recent history and draw a parallel to what’s happening right before our very eyes.

We are marching through the weeks to the feast of Pentecost, and this week we continue to look to the example of Joseph as we see how God not only prepares His people during the lean years, but how He blesses and protects them. With the threat of food shortages at our door, the time is now to prepare and draw close to the one who has always provided for us.
