MARDI GRAS – PT 2
This week’s “News, Nuggets, and Insights” looks into the details
of some important news briefs you may not hear from the mainstream news
media. One very disturbing piece of news is that of a Classics professor at
the University of Texas in Austin that has focused a significant part of his
“scholarship” on arguing that sexual predation laws should be re-considered
to lower the age of consent. Students have been protesting because of this
and apparently they are correct. The professor has a 22 page article in the
journal Thymos titled “Sexual Consent and the Adolescent Male, or
What Can We Learn From the Greeks,” suggesting that today’s society
should reconsider age-of-consent laws that are intended to protect children
from sexual predators. This week’s program will introduce you to a new word,
“pederasty.” Find out the meaning of this word and the absolute decadence of
a subject that should be on our radar, “normalizing pedophilia.”
For too long, many churches have encouraged their members not to be
involved in politics. We are now seeing the effect of Christians not taking
a part in selecting people who value God and His principles and turning a
blind eye to the changes in laws. Many are now waking up and beginning to
fight for the rights that our constitution lays out, like the “freedom of
religion.” President Trump has tried to combat the assault on Christianity
in passing bills to protect such freedoms. Just recently the White House has
posted that President Trump is updating Federal guidance regarding protected
prayer and religious expression in public schools, which has not been issued
since 2003. But are such actions too late?
This week’s program introduces you to Israel’s new laser system.
With all the trouble in the Middle East, this new program is a great
advancement to protect Israel from the onslaught of missiles that are
continually fired into their country. Bible students everywhere have their
eyes on Jerusalem as the scripture warns in (Luke 21:20) "When you see
Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is
near.”
The American economy is booming, but three years into the Trump

The word Mardi Gras means “Fat Tuesday” and as we take another
look at this big carnival event, we see how Satan has intricately tied it
into his plan of deception, totally perverting God’s plan for salvation.

pray that people will “wake up” and seek God while He may be found and see
the glorious future He has prepared to those who love Him.
